Dr. Sadaf Khalid – Ms. Pakistan World 2022 Interview!
Can you tell us little bit about your background?
I was born and raised in my favorite city Lahore, did my O’ levels and A levels from Beaconhouse school system then MBBS from Fatima Jinnah Medical College and FCPS general surgery from CPSP.
You are a doctor; how do you manage your time with extracurricular activities? As I always say that life is all about balancing act, depends how well you can balance your bicycle, so smoother the ride, so yes time management is the secret key, by discipling time, prioritizing tasks and making sure that I have my own spare time to carry out some basic extracurricular stuff like yoga, running, cooking and organizing my house, rather than falling prey to this toxic vicious cycle of earning and spending at the stake of your health and well-being.
What inspired you to participate in Ms. Pakistan World?
I liked the platform, justified fair selection criteria and the interview process. Moreover, Pakistan is my identity, as I was born and raised in a country of beautiful people of more than 220 million. To uplift its positive image and to represent bright and happy image of the country is what inspired me to participate in Ms. Pakistan World.
Who is your role model and why?
To be honest I don’t have one role model in life to pursue! Life is a continuous process of learning, dynamics, nurturing and in this process, you come across different role models, where you learn strength from one, determination, conviction, working ethics from other, honesty and hard work from different ppl, and in that development, you grow, develop and modelized yourself by following various roles models rather than one.
As Ms. Pakistan World is a big responsibility of representing Pakistan in international competitions. How are you going to prepare for it?
Yes, no doubt it is a big responsibility! By looking after my well-being and having that determination and conviction to project the positive strong image of the country as well as by representing all the hardworking beautiful women out there is what keeps me determined and ready to represent Pakistan internationally.
What advice do you have for the other women like yourself to participate in these contests?
To be themselves, to be comfortable in their mind, body and skin rather that dictated by the negative influences, complexions which can tarnish their confidence and be confident, to educate themselves well and work hard of course. In addition to this, women must look after their well-being, mental and physical health, eat healthy and prepare well for a well-balanced life!
