Miss Planet International 2023, pageant is all set to take place in Cambodia. The contestants have been busy with a lot of activities in the cities of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap which is the second largest city in Cambodia.
From visiting the schools in the cities to the ruins of Angkor, the contestants have been having a great time! The aim of the Miss Planet International pageant is sustainablity! The contestants had to make several speeches during their tour about the climate effects on the world and how to develop sustainable goals to help transform the world.
Miss Planet International pursues the compliance of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals accepted by the United Nations members and the 2030 Agenda.
Each candidate will be preparing a social project indicating the goals (SDGs) that are supported, in addition, they will be having the opportunity to propose the creation of the Sustainable Development Goal #18.

To enrich the UN agenda by proposing the addition of the Goal number 18 created by candidates.
Dr. Shafaq Akhtar, Miss Pakistan Universal 2022, was crowned in Pakistan in January 2022 and since then she represented Pakistan in Miss Aura International 2022 and recently in Miss Planet International 2023.
