In recent news, Shafina Shah also known as Shafina Patel Shah, has lost her title of Ms. Pakistan as she and her mother Atia Shah kept pursuing the President of Miss Pakistan Sonia Ahmed, for funds for her movie.

In an exclusive interview, Ahmed stated, “We were very happy to send Shafina Shah to international pageants, but since November 2023 her mother kept trying to get me to use my contacts to fund her movie. I did speak to both Shafina and her mother regarding the opportunities out there in Pakistan, but I did not want to pursue their project. Recently in March when I gave Shafina the opportunity to go to another international pageant, her mother contacted me the same time and asked for 20,000 British pounds. I politely said that I will look into it and then a few days later, Shafina Shah made a video on her social media saying that she is looking for a more supportive national director.”

Despite numerous attempts to reach her and discuss the matter, Shafina did not provide any clarification regarding her claims, which were broadcast to over 140,000 of her followers.

Over the past year, the Miss Pakistan Company support has been unwavering and extensive for Shafina. It was through the title and the efforts of the President that Shafina was granted the opportunity to participate in Miss Global despite being 38 years old (born on October 13, 1986), surpassing the age limit of 33. Securing that position required months of diligent work on her part.

She was continuously promoted in the media, for her minor role in the movie Animal, dedicating considerable time and effort to enhance her public image which included writing press releases for all her work for free. As a full time uber driver, Shafina Shah does not have a schedule to do all the media, yet we made sure that we were helping her from all angles.

“Regrettably, due to Shafina Shah’s actions, I am forced to revoke her titles: Ms. Pakistan World, Miss Global Pakistan and Universal Woman Pakistan. Any unauthorized use of my titles for your personal endeavors will result in legal action against the respective companies, along with formal notifications.

Charitable organizations like OPSA and Pakistan Cleft Lip & Palate Association have associated my title, without my consent and will face legal repercussions in Pakistan for unauthorized usage of my company’s property. They have been contacted and are looking into this matter, as well as my lawyers are sending them a legal notice”, said Sonia Ahmed.

Sonia Ahmed, further stated, “We have done our best to support her throughout the year however it is not right to blame a company if we cannot absorb the financial responsibilities of their movies. We have also advised her to ask her mother to cease sending us messages soliciting funds for a movie project that both the mother Atia Shah and daughter Shafina Shah are allegedly planning. Furthermore, if my lack of enthusiasm for providing financial support has led you to defame me, rest assured that I have no intention of contributing any funds towards any movie projects you may be contemplating.”
