Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Warda Muneeb Rao, and I am a 20-year-old residing in Lahore, Pakistan. I come from an educated and humble family background. We bear the surname “Rajpoot Rao,” hailing from Punjab. Therefore, my family places great importance on education, religion, traditional values, and cultural heritage, considering them integral parts of our lives. At present, I am a design student in my 3rd year, pursuing Fashion Design at PIFD (Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design). My passion lies in designing, and I am deeply dedicated to my degree program. Thankfully, I am blessed with a supportive family who have instilled within me the courage and determination to pursue my goals.
As a student, I am perpetually enthusiastic about my work and accomplishments. I maintain a strong focus on my education, which has garnered praise from my teachers. I was also chosen to be the representative of my institute, holding the title of “Student Voice leader” in college. Recently, I virtually represented my institute in three different languages at the B-International Awards by ERASMUS+. Additionally, I secured the first position in the “CHANGE MAKING INTELLIGENCE” competition held at my institute. These various positions and awards have motivated me to participate in the Miss Pakistan competition.
Why did you participate in Miss Pakistan 2023 in Lahore?
I entered the Miss Pakistan pageant because I am immensely proud of my culture, heritage, and identity as a Pakistani. I recognize it as an exceptional platform for young women to not only discover their identities but also to showcase their intelligence and raise their voices to communicate meaningful messages through international pageant platforms. I am convinced that I can serve as an exemplary representative and role model for Pakistani women. My aspiration is to embody the essence of Pakistani women along with our culture, traditions, and heritage. Miss Pakistan Global has bestowed upon me the opportunity to embark on this new phase of my life.
How does it feel to be appointed as Miss Pakistan?
I feel incredibly blessed to have attained this prestigious title. My excitement knows no bounds, as being crowned Miss Pakistan Global presents a remarkable opportunity for me. Holding this title at a young age comes with a significant responsibility, and I am fully aware of the weight it carries. What makes this title even more special is that I will no longer be referred to by my personal name; instead, I will be recognized by the name of my beloved country as “MISS PAKISTAN.” This distinction fills me with confidence and immense pride. As the newly crowned Miss Pakistan Global, I am thrilled to wholeheartedly engage in charitable endeavors, lend my voice to women’s causes, and ardently represent my homeland.
What are your career pathways?
I am deeply passionate about my professional journey, as it encompasses not only my future as a fashion designer but also my current role as Miss Pakistan Global 2023. Participating in this pageant was driven by my desire to cultivate my personality, boost my confidence and self-esteem, and enhance my communication skills. My dedication to my pageant career is resolute, as it has opened up a new path for me and bestowed upon me a fresh identity from which I can inspire countless individuals.
My chosen profession is intricately tied to the fashion industry, and I aspire to establish my own brand in the future. Furthermore, I have ambitions to venture into modeling, acting, and hosting, contributing to the burgeoning entertainment landscape of Pakistan. Irrespective of the field, my overarching goal remains the same: to authentically represent and project the unwavering strength of Pakistan.
In Shakespeare’s words:
“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts,”
Are you excited to represent Pakistan in international pageants?
Absolutely, I am thrilled and delighted to be the representative of my beautiful homeland, Pakistan, on various global stages. This role offers me an incredible chance to showcase my personality and talents on an international scale. Every contribution I make as Miss Pakistan plays a role in shaping the perception of Pakistani women. I am invigorated by this title, recognizing it as an extraordinary opportunity for personal growth and learning alongside other exceptional queens. I am fully aware that I will relish this experience and I am committed to not only proving myself but also working diligently to ensure that Pakistan’s name shines brightly in this industry.
What advice would you give to many Pakistani young girls?
The advice I would like to share with all the young girls out there is simple: if you hold a passion in your heart, follow it with conviction. If you possess enough determination, you can navigate the challenges that come your way and accomplish even the most demanding goals. Patience and authenticity are key. Stay patient, remain true to yourself, and success will be within reach.
As Miss Pakistan 2023 what charities would you like to support in Pakistan?
I have a strong belief in the power of charity, as it brings a sense of fulfillment when working for a meaningful cause. Presently, I am actively engaged with the TBT organization in Lahore, serving as both a designer and artist. Within this role, I am responsible for raising funds to support various activities aimed at assisting people in need. Together with the TBT team, I help plan activities for orphans at different orphanages and for residents of old age homes during our weekend meetings. Additionally, I hold the position of “Women Wing Leader” at the TBT organization. In this capacity, I focus on addressing women’s issues, including harassment and domestic violence, while also placing a strong emphasis on women’s skill development.
I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to extend my efforts to other charitable endeavors and remain committed to this path of giving back.
